Dungeoneer.com stands on the shoulders of Giants. And Dwarves. The credit list is immense and impossible. From the dream and '80s fun of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, the pure logic behind Markov chains, the triumph of Python, the design style of fonts, the quiet dominance of Linux itself ... the list can go on and on. The scientific and creative contributions of so many humans makes this labor of love possible. Thank you.

Getting the right visual feel evokes an emotional response. These are tools help get us there.
The Homebrewery
Copyright © 2016 Scott Tolksdorf, The Homebrewery is licensed using the MIT License. Which means you are free to use The Homebrewery codebase any way that you want, except for claiming that you made it yourself. When I found the markup, almost a decade ago, that made web pages look like the PHB I was pretty stoked. Things have evolved quite a lot since then but I still want to credit these folks for a fine job.

Heraldry
Every coat of arms is composed at generation time from a library of over twelve-hundred individually license-tracked charge designs emblazoned on the shield. Armoria is a wonderful tool but unfortunately did not fit our technical needs.
Game-icons.net
691 charges by lorc, delapouite, caro-asercion, aussiesim, skoll, darkzaitzev, sbed, cathelineau, faithtoken, carl-olsen, willdabeast, kier-heyl, zeromancer, pepijn-poolman, sparker, seregacthtuf and catsu, from game-icons.net. Used under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported license (CC BY 3.0).
Armoria
169 charges and all 45 shield shapes by Azgaar, from Armoria. The shield shapes and 108 charges are released into the public domain under CC0; 46 charges are used under CC BY-SA, 4 under CC BY, 10 under the GNU Free Documentation License and 1 under the Free Art License.
DrawShield
99 charges from DrawShield by Christie L. Ward, Lokal_Profil, Sodacan, GJo, Zigeuner, Orror, Cameta, Apn, Azfita, Bernina, Milind Joshi, Tzeentch, Zorlot, B1mbo and Delta-9. 54 are CC0; the remainder are used under CC BY-SA, CC BY, or the GNU Free Documentation License, per charge.
Wikimedia Commons
264 charges from Wikimedia Commons, chiefly the French Projet Blasons heraldic series, with named contributions from Etxeko, BotaFlo, Ssire, HeraldLanguage, JuJu939, Blanchoyeur, Henry Salomé, Ralphus, BenduKiwi, Yorick and Carnby. Used under CC BY-SA, CC BY, CC0 and public domain terms, per file.
The Elvish Language
I've been working on "Elvish" systems for three decades. The latest generation of procedural code is intended to exert scholarly citations but still remain interesting and maintain a comprehensive breadth for the gaming community.
Eldamo
The Quenya and Sindarin lexicons — word forms, glosses and citations — derive from Eldamo, data © 2008–2026 Paul Strack, used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license. Grammatical rules were encoded in our own words from Thorsten Renk's courses Pedin Edhellen and Quetin i lambë eldaiva.

Maps
The maps here are built up from a fork of an early open-source release of Watabou's Medieval Fantasy City Generator. My work took place over two years. If you want a city-map builder with cool warp features and a decade more polish than what I have, visit Watabou's Procgen Arcana.
Medieval Fantasy City Generator
City maps are drawn by a fork of an early open-source release of Watabou's Medieval Fantasy City Generator, extended here with rivers, coasts, trees, moats, terrain, tower shapes, palettes, and many other things. But my advanced fork mostly exists so it could be cleanly embedded. It is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0. The GPL v3 license entitles you to my public version to study, copy, copy and modify, and pass on under the same terms.
Specific Game System Content
Item names and rarities come from the resources below, adapted for use here. Our generators draw, price and describe what sits on a shelf or found in a chest, so an item as you meet it may be changed or enhanced from what the source printed. Internally, every item we surface maintains a record of which document it came from. Dungeoneer.com is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of these publishers. Paizo's material is kept on its own pages, apart from every other system: it serves Pathfinder players not to find another game's equipment on the shelf, and it keeps our use of the ORC License cleanly bounded.

Reserved Material. Paizo reserves its proper nouns and the names, titles and adjectives derived from them. None of them appear here. Where an item's name or description carried one, it was removed before publication. Our generators put a name of their own in its place so a Pathfinder item on a dwarven shelf can end up with a dwarven heritage.
